01:08:02
YES!!!!!!!! It starts with leadership!

01:08:24
I think this point is so important what Supriya is saying. Culture gets set at the top. It sets the example for everyone, and can become deeply ingrained in staff and grantee partners

01:30:33
I have a question for the group: What are some super practical ways funders can support grantees in pausing?

01:30:39
Love to connect with Pia, Supryia and Gerlie!

01:31:11
Pleasure to meet you as well Katie! Thank you, Janice, Natalie, and Katie for sharing your wisdom and experience with me. :)

01:31:11
You too, Jenn and Corey!

01:31:19
@Shaddy: Stop requiring interim or final reports?

01:32:29
Re: the funding question. We at HL are one of the few funders that actually support work of healing. It would be really great if funders could prioritize resources for pausing— reflection, meditation, space. Also consider how we as funders can internalize the practices themselves and prioritize that.

01:32:40
Highly recommend looking at the Durfee Foundation website to see how they have supported grantee “pausing.”

01:33:11
really appreciate that nuance of unlearning + honoring

01:33:24
Excellent discussion and reflections. Thank you all for sharing ++

01:33:38
Yes, Lisa, Durfee Foundation has so much to teach about supporting sabbaticals and stepping away for big imaginative thinking, as Shruti mentioned.

01:34:36
This was fantastic. Thank you Supriya, Pia and Shruti. Powerful insights. THANK YOU for modeling powerful and joyful leadership.

01:34:50
Yes, Durfee’s sabbatical program and stanton fellowships are an excellent example! www.durfee.org

01:35:16
We can write it into every investment proposal

01:35:33
We have also played with inviting frontline staff across our investments in for sessions together, e.g., on vicarious trauma and healing

01:35:58
Have to jump off. Thank you for a wonderful session!

01:35:59
